Karak chai and chill

Karak is not only a flavourful hot drink, but also a well-known pastime in Qatar. Made with loose black tea leaves, crushed cardamom, sugar, saffron and evaporated milk, there are multiple places to enjoy this sweet, hot beverage in Qatar.

Here are some of our favourite picks:

Chapati & Karak

This local favourite is located in Katara Cultural Village and follows a traditional Indian cuisine ritual that entered the GCC region, including Qatar, about 50 years ago and has now become embedded in the food culture of Doha.

Serving a variety of chapati options with flavours such as Nutella and Cheese, as well as tea, shakes, and authentic Karak, Chapati & Karak is undeniably a popular place in one of the most beloved areas in Qatar.
